Shederis Lakin, Esq

“It brings me great honor to serve my country in the Army Reserves and to render service to my clients through small business ownership. I ‘stay ready’ to fight for my country and my clients!”

Shederis Lakin was born in Germany, grew up in North Carolina, and has family roots in South Carolina. Her journey to service began almost two decades ago when she followed in her father’s footsteps by joining the United States Army.

Shederis currently serves in the Army Reserves, and she continues to adhere to the Army values (leadership, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage) in the legal profession. She spent over a decade on active duty, including an overseas tour, leading soldiers and serving in several leadership positions.  Shederis’s passion for advocating and the entrepreneurial genes passed down by her late grandfathers are motivating factors behind her entering into private practice.  

Shederis is a woman of high character and a leader in protecting victims’ legal rights. She is a trusted legal advisor that believes in fighting for clients to ensure they receive fair compensation. She is passionate about being of service to the community, and she serves as the Director of Community Outreach at New Nation Ministries Church located in Columbia, South Carolina.
